My June (brief highlights)

Some brief highlights. If I went into details, this post could take up pages.

My June

Saw Mindless Self Indulgence in concert! 4 hour show!

Began dating the most amazing woman. Now seeing her nearly 5 days a week.

Lost 15 pounds in roughly a month! I think I've gained most back because dating means dining out a lot.

Tested my alcohol tolerance a few times and did not get a hangover even once.

Started being able to dream again. Dreams are so awesome!

Many dinners at many interesting a new restaurants. In June I don't think I've been to a restaurant that I'd ever been to before.

Bought a bicycle! Rode a bicycle!

Tomorrow I'll be on a rafting trip in the mountainous wilderness with co-workers and previously-mentioned woman, and I'm sure I will love it all.

My goal was to have June be the best month in recent memory. I think it has been.

Eight directions at once.

My trash hasn't been emptied since Thursday last week. What's going on? You missed it the previous Friday as well. I'd normally assume that everyone was being left out, but it does not appear so. My desk is near the front of the office. It's highly visible. My trash can looks identical to everyone else's. I can only assume this attack has been racially motivated, and may consider this a hate- and/or war-crime.

New camera

This was going to be an entry about how a Canadian bank has now decided to give me a Platinum* credit card equivalent to roughly 1/3 my yearly income, mere weeks after dropping the interest rate of an Emerald* card of mine to damn near Prime. I'm certain this is their sad attempt to keep the Canadian credit market afloat to offset any possible vulnerability they have from investing in shoddy mortgages, but, hey, they're using me, I'm using them, fine. One fact I can confirm is that the people in the stock photography on the included paperwork for the higher-end cards are definitely more attractive and rich-seeming than that on the card I have with a $1000 limit.

Not that any are unattractive, just ...anyway.

So the summary of the post is this: was going to get a new camera in a couple weeks, instead I will be getting it in a couple days with all the miscellaneous gear to arrive in a couple days from now. It's going to completely rock. New lens coming too that costs about two-months-rent, but that's fine. Consumer debt is a tool to be used and not abused. I've never once had a problem clearing off my cards within a month.

My life is so good. Earlier this morning I also booked off a week of vacation for the final week of this month, so everything's coming up Millhouse!

* yeah, these people must really be into shiny shit

The second night photo test of the year. I remembered to meter the white balance against the sky instead of against any object in the photo (something I had neglected on the previous set). Clicking the photo will also let you see another version of the shot, or even monstrously large versions of it.
